Agent Marks, the account number you gave us is in your name. Who wants to mess with Liam Neeson.. really ..?
A Jedi, wolf whispering, daughter recovering "I have a certain set of skills" & now an Air Marshall. Neeson certainly follows the new age of action hero with a cocktail of nice guy, troubled past & great fighting skills. This is Passenger 57 meets Taken at 30,000 feet. Orphan director Jaume Collet-Serra directed this arial "Guns On A Plane". You know the one with the creepy little girl that turns out to be a creepy old girl.. *cold shiver* And B-grade fictional evidence of Paris Hiltons demise in House of Wax. Hooray! Although the premise of a airline hijacking may seem to generate some deja vu, this fast paced film will surprise you. It does keep the audience guessing as to who is the antagonist and where is he seated on the plane. |
Bringing the hardened, close combat Krav Maga stylish action you've seen from previous Taken(2), Bill Marks (Neeson) boards a transatlantic 6 hour flight over the pacific.
Starring alongside is the always graceful Julianne Moore playing a convincing Jen Summers, who becomes entangled within the hijacking. She brings a warm innocence that makes the viewer doubt her motives.
Is it her? It's not her..
Ok, it's her. Hmmmmm... The film is thoroughly entertaining from the start as it slowly builds towards the plane being hijacked and making it appear that Bill Marks has orchestrated the whole event.

"Agent Marks, the account number you gave us is in your name."
All evidence outwardly pointing the Neeson, he has little time to solve the arial heist unfolding. With a plane full of passengers, everyone becomes a potential suspect to whom Marks must find otherwise the assailant will kill every 20 mins. This is all communicated via floating text message for the viewers which is a element that added nicely to the heightened adrenaline. All in all this is quite an enjoyable film for Neeson Fans, action fans and the for the classic "who dunnits.?" If you enjoyed films like Taken & The Grey, Neeson's character follows the same path nicely. I am giving this one - 8.2 neck cracks out of 10. |
